Mmm, that was good. The show rocked (and the Sound of Music is forever ruined to me, yay); the classes were top-notch; the vendors have all my money; and there are new friends to enjoy keeping up with until the next time in Decatur. Way to go, Ziah and crew!

Mon, February 23, 2009 - 6:35 AMfor me this was my first tribalcon..my first convention....and my first live belly dance show. ive only been dancing about 2 months so all of this was new to me and i have t osay, what a great first impression.
now i can only hope every performance i see from now on can be that good! :-P
the classes were great, learned a lot, found a lot of things for me to practice on, the zill class really helped with a number im working on right now with zills, the vendors were great...you brok emy wallet lol but still great!
and to the vendor whom i bought the outfit for my daughter.....she's sooo cute in it!!!!!!!! -

Mon, February 23, 2009 - 1:25 PM*cries* So sad that it's over. I do attend a lot of cons, but only one dance con, and that's TribalCon. I really miss it already! It is so great to be in the same place with people who love what you love, too. I met a bunch of really cool, crazy people. :)
I'd like to say thanks to Ziah and the staff for putting on such a great event. And thank you so much to you guys for getting the three dream instructors I'd requested for this year, plus bringing back favorites from last year. You know I was *hoping* to get at least one, I didn't imagine that I would get them all. I can hardly believe I was so blessed!!!

I got a lot out of this event.
I love that there were workshops devoted to technique, some to expression and some to history and theory (yes yes yes). Plus there was lots of good casual fun and lots of live music! And I appreciate all the organization that went into making the workshops and the "casual" experiences work.

It was great to know some of the history and inner workings!
