Ten years ago in September 1999 Awalim danced onto the stage for the first time at the Friday night show of the Aziz workshop....and we haven't stopped since!!! We have enjoyed coming together again to rehearse and prepare for this show, bringing beloved Awalim favorites out of retirement for a single night's performance which we hope will delight you

About Awalim:
Awalim was formed in 1999 under the Direction of Ziah Ali McKinney-Taylor as a group to bring World Fusion Tribal Bellydance to the stages of Atlanta and the Southest US. Awalim's particular flavor of Tribal is decidedly upbeat and earthy while being sophisticated and urban, bringing what we feel are Atlanta's strongest characteristics to the Tribal genre.
