~A special event this year is a Thursday evening lecture/discussion with Donna Mejia, Guest Artist in Residence with the Smith College Dance Department and the Five College Dance Department. Be prepared for this lecture, as she promises it will be a lively evening!

~We have a live music concert on Friday night followed by a open dance floor hafla, and an after party late Saturday night catered by Nicola's Restaurant.

    for me to go, it would involve flight (IN FEB! we used to have a rule against traveling after thanksgiving, but since global warming, you know...) and hotel on top of reservation sooooooooooo, question:
    how soon have you sold out in the past? i would much like to go but i need a non-temp job first, and hopefully some roomies, how much time would i have to pull that off?
    im assuming that the list of restaurants means no food included, is that correct?
    thank you, it looks soooooooo fabulous! (i hope i can pull this off!)

      We usually reach the sell out point right around my birthday, Jan 11....Happy Birthday! The Early Bird special ends Dec 6 (significantly cheaper) and from talking to everyone I think more people are going to be taking advantage of that this year. Usually Early Bird is about 83% of our registrants, I am guessing that is going to be more like 93% this year which means we will sell out earlier.

      There is only a food option when you register for late Saturday evening during the After Party. All the restaurants are a five to ten minute walking distance either across the street or down the block and are cheap and yummy! You can also request a refrigerator in your room and just hit the little grocery store two blocks away. (the hotel food is bleh and expensive)

      Lots of people get roomies here on Tribe....hopefully Tribe will survive!

    Hello y'aaaaaall -

    Went to reserve my rooms today and was told that the TribalCon block was full, so if you haven't gotten your room yet you may want to jump on that before the whole hotel is booked!! :-)

    (The friendly reservation person I talked to said that the regular rate for those nights was around $135/night, which isn't bad at all!)

    We should be good on the TribalCon rate for rooms. I brought this issue up with our hotel coordinator, who spoke with someone from the hotel. She said: Rooms are available thru the Holiday Inn reservations. Callers need to ask for February 19, 20, and/or 21(whatever the arriving date is) and to ask for the TribalCon rate. She also calls periodically to make sure rooms are still available, and as of right now we are.
